Absolutely DELICIOUS!
I have had the desserts from here multiple times and originally thought they were a nice establishment. I called as a bride looking for answers and was treated with disrespect. The woman I spoke to told me multiple times that I was "inexperienced" and "young". She treated me like a child and was absolutely rude on the phone. I had scheduled an appointment to meet with their wedding consultant, and I was in the wrong in the fact that It had slipped my mind and I missed my appointment. I have gone to the Upper Crust for years. I have been a regular, going there on a weekly basis. Their lunch menu and pies are fabulous. Unfortunately, they can sometimes take a long time to get out your lunch order. I have sometimes had to wait a long time to get my lunch order. And this often happens when they're not terribly busy. The menu is good, but just make sure you have plenty of patience.
I have no idea where all these negative reviews are coming from! I am in there at least 1-2 times a week since I work in lafayette village and everything is always fantastic. I have ordered several special occasion cakes & cupcakes from here and they are always super tasty and beautiful. The only problem here is that there are sometimes not enough ham & swiss croissants in the morning. A guy who’s writing a novel couldn’t ask for a better place to hang out than the Upper Crust. The coffee is great and the sandwiches and desserts are the best in town. Haven’t tried breakfast yet, but will soon. I tend to settle into one of the comfortable chairs up front and write for a couple of hours during and after lunch. The busy atmosphere is exactly what I need and like, and the staff is friendly and attentive. They even provide me with story ideas. Ask them about the safety pin!
