I came to the ER with significant right lower quadrant pain and have been waiting over 7 hours with no updates. When I asked about the delay, I was told that “high-acuity patients get priority,” which I fully understand as a healthcare worker, but this level of delay and lack of communication is unacceptable. I honestly don’t understand how this place is even allowed to operate. I had to sit in the emergency room waiting area only for MORE THAN SEVEN HOURS, and for what? It felt like nobody cared, nobody was paying attention, and nobody showed any sense of urgency at all. Yes, I am the third person leaving bad review tonight!!!! Absolutely unbelievable and scary. I still didn't get any results. Been having a bad respiratory problems. With chest pain. Was there for almost 9 hours. Nothing was resolved. They didn't even check my blood pressure until I was there for over 5 hours!!! It was 116/112, nobody cared. The doctor was nothing. Cvs check would have been better. I would not go to a emergency room if I wasn't sick enough to be concerned. But I always have trouble with upmc. I moved here fro... read more
