I first came to MacGee to check if I have PCOS. My experience with the staff was been excellent. The doctor who ended up assigned to me, Dr. Burch (sp), is friendly as well as being a competent doctor. From all I've seen the office is well maintained and clean. Mind you, there are way too many artsy baby pictures for my taste, the carpet patterns makes me uncomfortable (Autistic brain), and the music is a bit too loud. I’ve had almost every single prenatal appointment here. I presented to them at 30 weeks with the feeling of passing out, decreased fetal movement, severe back pain to the point where I can’t even walk or move, and many more symptoms. All I was told was “oh you just have a very sleepy baby, and the back pain is completely normal with pregnancy. I've been coming to this office since 2006 never had any issues. Nice nurse's and doctors. Jill Linton is who I've been seeing since 2006. I did see two other male doctors for biopsies. I thank all of them in that office. Have been nothing but nice and respectful and kind to me. God bless them all.
I’ve been trying to give this place a chance. Janelle Barkman, the last three visits have been nothing but dismissive of any concerns or questions, zero empathy, and zero compassion. Regardless if a patients concerns seem small or far fetched to you, your responsibility is to make your patients feel comfortable and leave feeling reassured and heard. Not to mention the vulnerability alone of going to an ob/gyn, I left uncomfortable, feeling judged, and crying. I never leave reviews anywhere, so this should say something. Lost... read more
