I have visited this emergency room for various issues over the years, and while not every experience has been negative, my most recent visit was very concerning. I presented with severe chest pain while 8 weeks pregnant and waited well over an hour before my vitals were taken. I understand that it can be difficult to treat all patients immediately, and I sympathize with the challenges the staff face in a busy emergency setting. We went to two other local emergency rooms to try to find out the cause of my Mom’s pain. The other ER’s just gave her pain medicine to ease the pain. At Seneca they left no stone unturned and did every type of scan they could do to figure out what is actually the cause of her debilitating pain. We didn’t get the answers we wanted but we got the answers we needed and they found the cause. They transferred her to Shadyside hospital in Pittsburgh today where she is consulting with her new oncology team.
