UPDATE 06/2025: fast forward 2 years and I went back to UPMC Lititz for my 2nd baby. I had the same amazing care team and midwife. My baby had shoulder dystocia and was large 9lbs 3oz. They handled what could’ve been a serious situation with calmness and confidence. I cannot recommend this hospital enough! 05/2023 First time mom here. My birth experience here was amazing. They seem to pick and choose who to treat well and take care of. I was treated like I shouldn't have been there and shouldn't have kids (as we overheard two nurses say in the hallway). Only one nurse was kind to my husband and I. She explained everything she was doing but when she left at the end of her shift we felt alone with no medical support/support from staff. Im giving two stars for Dr. Sheridan and Midwife Terry who gave me a wonderful delivery experience. They were both so knowledgeable and took great care of me during birth. Postpartum care- horrendous. I pushed for 5 hours and had second degree tears, labial tears, and vaginal packing afterwards. An hour after birth I was helped to the bathroom once, and after that I was told "I need to do this on my own". don’t waste your time! they’re bleeding staff and doctors and now they’re not providing care for anyone or anything! they wouldn’t see me for a common pregnancy problem because they didn’t have the staff available AND they wouldn’t give me a standard 12 week ultrasound because they didn’t have staff available!!! the lack of care is HORRIBLE!!!!

There is a lady with glasses that works in the front desk of this place and she is so UNHELPFUL she just tells you over and over your at the wrong place and won’t even assist you to the right place. She is so unprofessional and not really nice. Even when you call she won’t help she just says over an over your at the wrong place and when asked to help me since I need the gyn she told me I’m not CUSTOMER SERVICE !! She makes Magee center look bad !!!!
