I cannot believe that UPMC, who takes my private money for insurance and care, would deny transgender care recommend by doctors they hired, which will result in parents and minors buying non regulated meds via internet. The doctor was very attentive. She made my little boy very comfortable. He even showed her his little dance steps. lol He needed 2 vaccines and the young man was very professional and gentle. It went well with little tears.
I have been bringing my son here for 16yrs and we had Dr. Hoyson (RIP) when he was a baby. He was the best! Now, we've had a mix of different doctors since then but for the past few years, we've had Dr. Kilpatrick and she is wonderful! She listens and is patient, kind and caring. As far as appointment wait times, it's hit or miss. Our most recent appointment, we got there 15 minutes early and got called back 2 minutes after sitting down and only waited about 10 minutes in the back room. Please take your child elsewhere!! Especially Not to Dr Bigalow who shouldnt be a doctor. I will NEVER forget how they treated me as a new mom! The first time I ever went to this office after my son was born he had jaundice the doctor told me i had to go to the hospital immediately as a first time mom i had no clue what was going on i thought my child was having a immediate medical emergency i was in tears!!
