The occupational and physical therapists at this institute are exceptional. They take time to know a patient and their objectives via therapy. I almost took one star away for the physical plant deficiencies of the building and the fact that there is no place to sit while you are dealing with clerical staff. But that would have been unfair to the good medicine that is happening at this facility. I would recommend anyone who needs rehabilitation services to consider this location.
The therapist that was paired with is as cold as ice. She seems to be lacking in human compassion and doesn't seem concerned with what people are going through in the process of therapy. The passion she describes herself as having in our UPMC profile must be for the scientific and clinical part of her job, because it's clearly not for the patients. Rob and Dorothy are hands down the best PTs I’ve ever dealt with! They are both incredibly compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their patients -myself-. They took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the sessions. I truly appreciate their professionalism and dedication.
