Not clean! Horrible staff. Terribly unfriendly and unkind. You are treated as a number way exceeding their use of you. I will never be back as a patient u less it isn’t by my choice. Awful!! Go elsewhere.
I had an acute illness 9/30/24. Went to the ER around 7:30p and was treated and left with a notice to return to work on 10/3/24. On 10/2/24 I was still experiencing a fever so I called to get an extension to return to work 10/4/24 because I knew I wasn’t going to be well enough to return on the 3rd. I was told to follow up with my PCP. I explained my PCP didn’t treat me and asked to speak with the PA. I was told they would call back. They never did. Altoona upmc is the only hospital I've encountered that leaves a trauma patient in a hallway on a gurney all the while treating said trauma patient like a pill chaser and not cleaning their wounds.Then discharges them with no paperwork and then it's a fight to get the paperwork. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.
