Great furniture, not so great clothes Up Six is located right off the corner of Selby and Snelling near Play It Again Sports. This is a small store that specializes in vintage/retro clothes and furniture. If you are looking for funky accessories for your home this would be a great place to stop. However, if you're looked for vintage clothing, they have a lot of 70s shirts and dresses, but nothing that is worth what they are priced at.
Up Six Upsix is a pretty neat store. The store has a pretty good selection of vintage clothing to choose from and they are always very helpful!
Walked In, Walked Out... Tiny shop, Disappointed I went to this place after considering the recommendation of the previous reviewer. I don't see how that person described this tiny shop a "large store." You walk in the front door, sales clerk on phone at cashier counter, move 8 paces forward past 1960's sofa, chair and end table and you've hit the back wall, return to the cashier counter go into other room, walk around 3 racks of clothes, shoes lined up on floor, all rummage sale items from 1980's or 1990's, proceed to front... read more
Cute vintage furniture and clothing store! Up Six is a large store that half is dedicated to mid century modern furniture and house hold items- including art, pottery, vinyl, art glass etc. The other half is mens and womens clothing and accessories from the 1930-1980's- I love their shoe selection, and always find fun and funky clothing. I like that they have a good selection of everyday wear as well as more formal clothing. (I also bought an amazing 60's sofa there - it's my favorite piece of furniture!) Their prices are re... read more
I love this shop! I think that the last reviewer was at the wrong store. I recently moved from St. Paul to Chicago and I miss Up Six- I was what you could call a regular- I started shopping there when it first opened (around 2002) and stalked the merchandise regularly up until I moved last fall. You cannot believe how good Twin Cities folk have it vintage in Chicago is so expensive! I digress, I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I felt obligated to write this review because that last one hurt my feelings bec... read more
