Worked a stretch here back in 2005-6; Manpower was paid off of my wages, like the slave-masters they are. I was the 7th or 8th in a line of technical professionals that worked for people who had no ability to manage (but in a small branch office like this, whoever will do the job usually gets the job). Most people worked at Honeywell UOP for a year or 2 or more before being offered a position - at will only with very limited benefits. But I don't want to get ahead of myself...
