Absolutely zero stars. About halfway through my medical leave they stopped following up with me as they said they would. My case was tossed around amongst numerous people. I uploaded every document they asked for and when I followed up with them they said they needed different documentation. They're communication was always vague. My LTD case manager called 3 of my physicians after I explained to her that she did not have my permission to do so. Then she lied about why she called when I followed up with her. Do NOT ever use this scam company. They trick people into paying for their garbage policies and then when you need them, some pencil pushing office clerk without ANY medical training will override actual Doctors. It is no surprise they lost 2 class action lawsuits for illegally denying or terminating claims for over 200,000 people, and we're fined 15 million dollars.
Unum is ridiculous. I'm taking paid family leave and unum drags it's feet with the benefits.
I received nothing but considerate, compassionate care and correspondence during my experience with Unum. I worked with three different representatives, Kanita, Brianna & Amee, all of which were both professional and positive. I’m very thankful for both the manner and the promptness of the entire group. I would highly recommend them.
