Asked for help filling out the paperwork, stated they don't do that and hung up. Called back with 1 question and she couldn't answer a simple question my 6 yr old grand son answered and he is autistic. Asked for a supervisor and connected to 3 different people who proceeded to call me by my 1st name like we are family.

This company will deny you repeatedly for FMLA, even after a letter from the doctor supporting my claim. UNUM DESERVES ZERO STARS!!

I highly urge any employer or insurance broker looking into UNUM for elective benefits, to please, Please do not do business with UNUM. You are doing your employees a disservice by electing this horrible insurance company, whose main goal is to not pay out benefits. UNUM customer service, disability, critical illness, supervisor, enrollment, and management departments are all rude. Yes, we have called every single department listed above. Been dealing with them for almost a month. This company is all BS. If this is a US company why can't you talk to people that speak English! I won't be renewing my insurance with them again! This is the first time I've needed to file a claim and there is almost zero communication on their part. I have the app and can only see half of what they send me just STUPID!
