Last year, things went pretty quick and this year it says they are reviewing my case. I spoke to my case manager and she basically got angry about why I called her. Like hey, the letter says is expected to be approved and still hasn’t been approved. I’m going into my third week. So, I won’t get a full paycheck and they are still reviewing. UNUM is absolutely abysmal. There is no response when requesting a call back and requests to fix broken parts of the portal are ignored completely. There are absurdly long hold times. If your company works with UNUM please push back on them and urge them not to.

Asked for help filling out the paperwork, stated they don't do that and hung up. Called back with 1 question and she couldn't answer a simple question my 6 yr old grand son answered and he is autistic. Asked for a supervisor and connected to 3 different people who proceeded to call me by my 1st name like we are family.

This company will deny you repeatedly for FMLA, even after a letter from the doctor supporting my claim. UNUM DESERVES ZERO STARS!!
