Even 1 star is too much for this company. Experts in making sure you never get paid, constantly losing information and forms, and inventing new hoops to jump through only to tell you that they didn't see it. Literally couldn't be a worse company, they make xFinity look good.

They get 1 star because I'm not allowed to give a zero star rating..... Filed for short-term disability, because of a surgery and my leave from work. Filled out the stuff that was asked of me, all of my direct deposit information for my payouts but instead decided that mailing me a paper check was what they were going to do. I still haven't received my check ...and now they've issued another one. But I'm not receiving them ... And they can't do anything unless it's been over 10 days since it was issued ... Would choose to give ZERO stars if possible. UNUM has the worst customer service I have ever experienced, bar none. The website is positively useless -- it has nothing that you need. For example, I needed to update my address due to a move. Logged in on the website to do that -- CAN'T DO THAT. Had to call, and sit on the phone for a half hour after going through AI voice hell. I asked the person why am I not able to update my address on the website? Answer: "Because we don't offer that service on your account on the website.... read more

This company is so unprofessional. I pay every two into this company to be off of work due to surgery on Dec 11,2025. Only got paid 1 time then they cut it off on Jan 2. Im still off of work. Had to send more papers in now I have to wait 8 days to get a response. I have bills. When open enrollment comes back around im cutting them off..
