This was my first experience using UNUM due the a stage 4, lung cancer finding at the beginning of the year. It has been bad enough knowing you are going to die but fighting through the paperwork is truly a battle of its own. Looking at all my medical records from the year, one would think they could tie together the information to realize I can’t work again. I have been with Unum for long term disability. And they just stop paying. They are awful. I am going to Sue them

I am on maternity leave and had my baby two months ago. Just got off the phone with a representative who told me that they have not finished the review of my case, which according to them takes 5 business days despite the fact that it has been 6.Not only was she dismissive of my obvious frustration, she kept repeating that i would receive a call from the benefits department after she scheduled a call back ( this is the 4th time i am told about this call back that never comes ).
