One star is one too many. This company is beyond ridiculous. They approve disabilities then turn around and stop paying. They LOSE medical records. They look for any way to NOT pay. As for return phone calls? They don't know what those are. WORST company EVER. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
We had to use Unum for my mother's disability claim, and they did nothing but make the process difficult. They gave conflicting information about forms they needed completed, and even supplied authorization forms for a hospital that my mother never stayed at. You may not have a choice in dealing with them if your employer decides to use them, so best of luck if you're forced to deal with them. If you're an employer looking to partner with a 3rd party for disability claims, you can do much, much better than Unum.
