The housing process for incoming freshman has been so bad it’s made me want to transfer schools altogether. UNM randomly decided that 50% of freshman could select their dorms on the 8th while the rest got waitlisted. Everyone waitlisted has 0 decent options.
The Experience with RLSH is a nightmare at UNM. The staff is inconsiderate, and only hears what they want to. The buildings are old and wearing out so they always claim they have no money just like UNM in general does. Staff responds with an attitude, and careless if you tell them what needs to be improved because they don't think its an issue. Live somewhere else if you can. They overcharge for what you get.
I would like to thank Jessika Griego for all her help for going above and beyond to help me with an issue I had with my daughters accommodation. She has made it so much easier for my daughter to move from the UK to the UNM into the fantastic LOBO Village.
Dear upper classmen students, we unfortunately admitted too many freshmen and did not listen to our own policy on freshman housing. We also did not think to look at the number of students registering for their rooms back in March or even a month ago. Therefore any room that you pay thousands or hundreds of dollars extra for (single rooms) is meaningless.
