So disorganized. Their billing department is a nightmare- no history of payments, slow computers, bad customer service reps with no clue how to find information. I end up having to do their jobs, bring receipts and get them organized whenever I call. Save all your forms, documents, mail, etc because you are going to need it again when they send out mistaken bills your way. Our medical system is in dire straights, and it has everything to do with the admin and billing, not with the physicians themselves.

I have been fighting a bill with UNM Medical Group for almost a year and a half now. January 2023 I called and updated my new insurance on file. I had an appointment with my primary in February 2023. I verified at the time of the appointment they had my new insurance on file, and they did. A few months later I received a bill for $242 stating that my previous insurance, the one prior to what I had updated in January, was what was on file and it was no longer active (obviously). Their doctors are serial shoplifters.

Their billing system is severely lacking. I found out yesterday out last evening that services back from two years ago are now in collections. Stated that they had emailed me numerous notices, but I don't see any sent in my history
