Completely awful department to get a hold of they will still deny you even after having a referral sent over they didn't even bother to look in the system for the referral, they asked me to fax it when doctors tell me that they don't release that information that it is sent to the clinic
The University of New Mexico is a taxpayer supported facility-INCLUDING all specialty clinics associated with this healthcare system. The ENT clinic requires a referral from another physician to schedule an appt. for a patient. Unfortunately, this is not legal with a taxpayer supported hospital. I discussed this with the scheduling person, Kevin, and the supervisor, Andie-both were emphatic that I need a referral to be seen. Waiting for two months to get appointment with them and hadn't heard from them yet. My primary doctor already referrer to ear doctor. Still waiting?? What going on with them?
You can't schedule an appointment unless someone else tells them that you need one so stupid it's not like I have to to to emergency care just let people schedule
