Edit: I see the company finally responded, long after our complaint with the Better Business Bureau was ignored. The BBB contacted the University Properties numerous times and University Properties never replied at all. You do not need to be "affiliated" with the BBB to respond to a consumer complaint. They were shady from the moment of signing the lease. The place wasn’t ready on move in day and it took months of phone calls and texts to finally get the place livable. Plumbing and electric problems, and appliances that leak or are not working properly. Calls go unanswered. They try and frustrate you so you will leave them alone and just accept the poor conditions. Water and sewer bills and electric bills were 3 times what they should have been due to leaks and cheap materials and lack of maintenance. They blatantly violat... read more

Don’t live there unless you’re willing to spend the hot summer with no AC and spend the cold winter without heat. Their HVAC systems are way too old, it will take them forever to get it fixed because all the contractors are refusing to work for them because they don’t pay them, if you eventually got lucky enough to get you unit fixed the contractor might come next week to break it down again for non payment.
