I have never met Michael Talbert MD. I have however received many bills from him. Basically, he is charging us for every automated lab test that goes through any of the OU labs. My insurance company says they will not cover a pathologists professional services fee on an automated lab because the pathologist did not review the results. Basically, a tech puts the blood in a machine and the machine prints a result which goes to the doctor. The pathologist literally never touches or looks at the blood.
