I’ve lived almost a year and a half at Sunnyside in the Spruce apartments. Overall, I’ve enjoyed my experience living here. The apartments are new, clean, quiet, neighbors are friendly, there’s spacious study rooms, the CA’s host events with free food, there’s free on-site laundry, and the apartments are located in a safe neighborhood that’s close to the university and lots of amenities. As a nanny working with a family watching a 3 year old I must say that these apartments make is very difficult to find creative ways to keep them entertained. West village are the newer building but have an old timey kids should be seen not heard vibe. There are two playgrounds in the middle one is has a plastic metal mix without any shade. Summers get up in the 90s, so silly. This review is about the new single graduate building on West Village. Pros: Social events are organized by the management and great on cleanliness. I give negative feedback to the user-friendliness. No loading/unloading, almost never find parking at closer to the building/have to walk stairs 5-6 min to go to the back-parking. Expensive comparing to the market, no storage space provided unlike the other family-friendly buildings. Building design is so bad! Saying hi to the designer.
