Do the hospital in Iowa city care if I have mental issues.
I am writing as a deeply concerned parent of a University of Iowa student. My daughter presented with a high fever that resulted in a seizure while under their care. Throughout the encounter, there was a notable lack of compassion and consideration for her condition. Despite the seriousness of her symptoms, my daughter was discharged alone to the waiting room at approximately 3:30 a.m. She requested to remain in the room with a bed for an additional 30 minutes so that I could arrive to be with her and ask follow up questions... read more
I graduated from Iowa about 15 years ago. I had always been so proud of what I knew about the hospital, until last night, my first personal experience with their ER (and hospital in general). Nurses have no bedside manner, extremely rude, and we were even completely forgotten about for 2.5 hours. They lacked basic knowledge and I want others to beware.
