I went to UC Health ER in Highlands Ranch, not UC Medicine. I moved and had an insurance change for the date I went to the ER. I called UC Health as this is the hospital I went to and updated my info. Was not told to call UC Medicine. Would not have known I needed to call them as I didn’t go to their facility. Rude, unprofessional, not helpful. I don’t understand how a large organization has billing reps like this
Been dealing with their billing department for several months. They say cigna requested a refund on a bill which is not true according to cigna. I sent my explanation of benefits multiple times that I only owe a copay. No response after sending my eob. Then months later all a sudden I get a collections notice... no final notice or anything from cu medicine billing department.. just straight to collections with no follow up. beware of this place. I had surgery 12/23 and paid every invoice that I received. I was on top of this because the place where I was injured agreed to pickup all of the expenses that insurance did not cover. Today, 8/13/2025 I receive a collections notice for $3742.67. The company has closed out my claim so I am stuck with this bill. Never going back there again.
A criminal company. I got charged almost $250 because they coded something wrong for my PRIMARY CARE VISIT, which is clearly marked as a $30 co-pay on my insurance. The doctor's office says it should be a co-pay but CU Medicine has not responded to them. When I ask CU Medicine will not clearly answer my questions about why I was billed this way.
