I am extremely frustrated by my experience with the insurance/preauthorization and billing process at CU Medicine BILLING. My concern is not simply that there have been delays. It is that I have repeatedly been given definitive statements about what my insurance does and does not cover, without those statements apparently being verified against my specific insurance plan. Edit: I don't want to be told to contact your incompetent billing department again. I have done that and all they tell me is that I should've looked at my EOB's or that I should've logged in to my account... an account I never knew even existed because (like SO many others here) I NEVER RECEIVED A BILL! Worst billing I have ever dealt with and just filed a complaint with the AG over their incompetence. This is a really frustrating department. Communication of the bills is really poor from when you see a provider in either a CU Medicine clinic or a UCHealth one all the way through to hearing about your bill from the department itself. Train your staff to communicate what they can expect after their visit. I don't need a response.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with CU Medicine Billing. Before receiving care, patients should be clearly informed about how billing works, who will be sending the bills, and how to access and pay their accounts. None of that was explained to me. I recently found out that I had multiple medical bills that I was never aware of because I never received billing statements or any account information.
