I visited the Acute Knee Injury Clinic today as my first appointment expecting a focused assessment and timely care. At the beginning of the appointment, I was told they would take X-rays and that the doctor would review them to confirm the diagnosis. Instead, after a quick history and physical exam, I was told they couldn’t do X-rays “for some reason” and handed a requisition form to get them done elsewhere — no clear explanation, no immediate support. I was a little disappointed in this clinic. I saw Dr. Kurji after tearing a ligament in my ankle. The appointment was average at best. He asked me to re-book with him in 2 weeks. He only works Mondays from 0830-1530 which didn’t work for me due to my work schedule. I asked if I could see a different doctor who worked later and I was told no as they are a “specialty clinic.”
