Yet another facet of the very comprehensive almost Byzantine array of Sports gyms and facilities belonging to Uni of Bristol. Superbly located in the basement of Richmond House it’s what I’d call a very traditional straightforward pool no frills ( no diving boards or any modern fads ) and none the worse. I couldn’t cope with the full and full lanes of the main pool but there’s a nice sort of “ baby “ pool with more leisurely pace and size too. I love this pool. Have been going here for over 20yrs. Never too busy (if you don’t go when swimming lessons are on) and powerful showers. It’s a great place and a hidden gem :)
Excuse me???? A mother brought her son, who looked to be about 10 years old, into the female's changing room. How embarrassing! Can't a child that age bathe and dress himself? Why did she bring him in?This is a serious violation of privacy !!!!
Great swimming pool that I have been using since Filton pool closed unexpectedly in April 2025 (but has since reopened) if has up to 6 lanes for swimming (less when there are swimming lessons or casual sessions) - Experimented on various sessions and did find that the casual sessions on the whole were the quietest (but I do have some flexibility) Also used the sessions on the weekend - showers are great - separate ladies and gentlemen changing rooms - £8 for a one off adult swim (as of Sept 2025) or of you go more often then... read more
