Visiting from Dallas. My wife has a chronic illness that typically requires medical care about twice a year. The condition can sometimes be contagious, and most ERs take extra precautions when treating her, including isolation protocols. We were transferred to this ER from urgent care. Came in to urgent care and they got my boyfriend checked and sent to the ER for appendicitis. Staff were very helpful over there. Waited an hour and a half for a ct scan in the ER, and have been sitting in the lobby waiting for results since. Chairs are uncomfortable as hell and blankets are thin, and there are a certain few doctors who speak with and incredibly condescending tone towards people who ask about wait times. UMC ER is a joke! We waited 13 hours and still never got seen by the Dr. The nurses were rude and kept giving us ridiculous excuses. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here!
I took my wife to UMC emergency room she had low blood pressure and she has dementia. We got in to see a doctor immediately and everyone was so nice to her. The entire staff and doctor were wonderful. I would like to thank them all for their kindness and respect.
My wife went in at 8 am
