Review: Systematic Inefficiency and Disrespectful Service I scheduled an appointment for a specific recall only after the service department explicitly confirmed the part was in stock. After waiting three hours on-site, I was informed the part was actually unavailable. Kia UM014-CH65 Automatic Transmission fluid... MSRP: $20.80 a unit across the internet. On my bill, $47.85 a unit. That's a 230% markup on parts. That's a healthy profit margin. As liquids go, a bartender would call that a healthy profit margin. But you know what? That's ok. They're a business and they need to make a profit. What is unreasonable is passing along a 3% surcharge for credit card payment to consumers like they're about to go bankrupt at the 230% markup they've already got. One extra star for the friendly staff.
