Review: Systematic Inefficiency and Disrespectful Service I scheduled an appointment for a specific recall only after the service department explicitly confirmed the part was in stock. Kia UM014-CH65 Automatic Transmission fluid... MSRP: $20.80 a unit across the internet. On my bill, $47.85 a unit. That's a 230% markup on parts. That's a healthy profit margin. As liquids go, a bartender would call that a healthy profit margin. But you know what? That's ok. They're a business and they need to make a profit. What is unreasonable is passing along a 3% surcharge for credit card payment to consumers like they're about to go bankrupt at the 230% markup they've already got. One extra star for the friendly staff.

Charged me $100 for a diagnosis of a serious issue but had no diagnosis for me - said they could not replicate and had no other explanation even though it's been occurring daily for quite a while. Previously we brought the same car in to have a door repaired which will not shut all the way, causing the alert to stay on while driving, and they simply said they couldn't fix it. We have liked our first KIA but these issues and the service response has been enough to keep us from futurr purchases.
