Parma Hospital USED to be great..... until UH took over. UH seems to not care about taking care of people. The hospital is in horrible decline; elevators don't work, bathroom facilities are a joke, the food sucks and the CEO is doing a horrible job! Do yourself a favor and take your loved ones to Southwest Hospital.
This is, by far, the best hospital experience my Mother and I have had! In May, my elderly Mother was taken via ambulance to UH Parma Medical Center Emergency Room for a suspected broken hip. She received absolute exceptional attention and care--from admission, to janitorial staff, x-ray and CT technicians, nurses, and doctors--every single employee we encountered was simply delightful. What a joke. These people are rude and talk to you anyway they want. Zero compassion no bedside manors. They left a woman wait two hours and I understand sometimes they are busy but not this day, left this poor waman in agony she could not breath and was shaking so bad. She was on the urge of passing out. The receptionist told her if she doesn't like it leave.
Speaking as an ER nurse…this is one of the worst ERs I’ve ever seen
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been in the waiting room for 5 hours now waiting for a room. This is ridiculous. I have severe breathing problems and they just leave me sit in the waiting room and it took several hours just to get my first round of bloodwork. They have the results back and they just did more blood work and they will probably leave me sit here in the waiting room for another several hours. I was given no treatment or anything. There’s no sense of urgency here.
