Was referred by my GP to attend Geelong University Hospital for HHS. Arrived, the line up was long but I waited. Was seen too rather quickly after completing triage and administration. Assessment was thorough by Doctor Ella. Very professional throughout. I saw a myriad of doctors and nurses during my time who were excellent. But I’d like to thank PSAs Justin and Chris who went above and beyond. Even Maddy from BMI was very impressive., All told I was in the dept for 14 hours. And again the staff were excellent. Normally wouldn’t review a hospital, but the team at University Hospital went above and beyond in caring for me and my two sons, stranded away from Adelaide. Not only giving my son the medical care he needed, but also providing accommodation support. The care, proactivity, professionalism and friendly service was second to none. Thanks to nurses Drew, Jared, Katie and everybody else on the team!
Had an excellent experience at emergency last night. Wait time was only around 2 hours and all the staff I encountered were kind, informative and caring. The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is that the waiting room was packed and it became hard to find a seat, and the line for the triage nurse was long with no seats available when waiting (hard when you’re in pain).
Always have to wait long periods of time public staff are helpful and friendly
