I had a very positive experience today at Geelong University Hospital (Barwon Health) Emergency Department. From triage to administration, the process was seamless. Nurse Practitioner Tara M was outstanding. Dressed in bright tropical scrubs, she automatically brought a smile to my face, she was so warm, reassuring, extremely thorough, and explained everything clearly along the way. Extremely long wait times and limited beds (only complaint) this was made up for by the nursing staff in emergency. Massive thanks to KATE, ELSIE (emergency department) and Molly (surgical ward) and other nurses on duty (names escape me) - all went above and beyond to manage my comfort and made the experience as pleasant as it could be.
