We have been getting our appliances from University Electric Home Appliance for many years, whether for upgrades or replacements. Do not buy an extended warranty for a dishwasher from University Electric. We made the mistake and purchased the 6 year extended warranty. When we had a problem with our dishwasher, we attempted to use our extended warranty. So unless you're willing to wait between 14 days and 1 month to get a dishwasher repaired in the Bay Area, don't buy the extended warranty from University Electric. Newton at University Electric listened to our needs, budget, family lifestyle, space specs, renovation goals and design, and made recommendations that *fit* all of those boxes. He immediately asked us questions about our kitchen space, gas connections, plumbing, etc, and actually highlighted installation considerations we weren't aware we needed to think about. John D is a solid salesman. Knowledgeable, and down to earth, giving practical advice. Had a good experience with him. Visited other times where John wasn’t available. Several other sales staff I interacted with were condescending or disinterested.
