Wife had surgery at Rush. The surgeon was great but the anesthesiologist, Dr. Neal Mehta was just the worst. Terrible bedside manner. He rambled on about how great he was and how much he deserves to be paid more and promoted. Not the time or the place, sir. Also heard him yelling at someone right outside the room. Not the right headspace to be in before surgery. I don’t think we’ll consider Rush for surgery if people like him take care of us.
Never received a bill for a balance, but 8 weeks after surgery, received a collection notice. Very odd. If a balance is owed, would be helpful to send a bill instead of to a collection agency.
The doctors were wonderful The billing dept is in bad shape Only 10 weeks after surgery I get a final notice or collections on my $180.00 bill Really unprofessional Time to make a change in billing
Never knew there was a separate bill until the debt collection agency sent a notice in the mail 3-6 months after the surgery
Stone Age billing dept. where you have to mail in check. no online portal
