I have been satisified with the trash service since the UWS took over the East Mountains business. I do not receive email billings or notice that I missed a payment. When I called the office to make payment, the receptionist rudely hung the telephone on me while I was speaking, and did not answer any numerous calls I made afterwards. I just want to pay my bill! No wonder they get low reviews.

Do everything you can to stay away from this company. I should have read the reviews first. Giving you fair warning here. Extremely poor customer service. Said they delivered a trash bin when we NEVER received one and continued to call me a liar. Waited over 2 months for a refund after being told it would be a couple weeks. They are a very disorganized company. You have been warned. Make a wise choice and do not go with Universal Waste. It will be a waste if your money, time and sanity!
This is what happens when there is no competition. They are either a day late or they show up before 7. They spill stuff everywhere and don't clean it up. They complain about where you put your bin, but then they leave it tipped over or in the middle of the street or in the middle of the driveway. And they seem to be trying to get rid of recycling service by making the terms unreasonable.
