I received an automated but customized email from "Cameron *****" from yourpensionmeeting.com and found out that the agent is from Universal Retirement, and not part of the organization I work in. Not knowing this during our initial call, I provided my personal and financial information. I could not shake off the strange feeling that this was not legitimate. After the call, I made some calls and discovered that this is a separate firm in a different state, and definitely not part of the organization I work in. Beware all.
Insurance pushers with bad customer service. My personal experience was with one of UniRets lead advisors. In my opinion, these are insurance salesmen, not financial advisors. I don’t believe these agents are fiduciaries and therefore not obligated to work in your best financial interest. My agent was very attentive, until he sold me a product.
