We purchased a 20 kw Briggs & Stratton Generator from another electric company here in Chesterfield and their installation was very satisfactory. However, after 10 months, and numerous visits, they couldn't figure out why the generator wasn't doing its weekly exercise and then one day, it just completely shut down. Very professional! Great staff!
Very disappointed with Universal Electrical. I asked them to come out and quote repairing my backup generator. They came out and were not able to fix it and still sent me a bill for $375. I called to ask what the bill was for since they didn't fix anything and Christy said she would check with her service tech and call me back. She never called me back but instead sent the bill to a debt collector!
The work they did was fine, but the overall experience was terrible. I will never use their services again. They charged $120/hr for drive time to and from their office and never told me they were going to charge me for that until I got the invoice. Every time I called to inquire about the extra charges the receptionist was away from the office and "would call me back when she got back to the office" and never did.
