I actually wish I had read all the comments here before the following story had ensued. We at my home had our septic tank insurance, through fbk products. Universal was all friendly, that is until something went wrong and they had to pay up for an overhaul replacement of the system. Cost over \$5000 dollars and we won our case. Good news, yes. Warning to consumers! I would like everyone to know that Universal Appliances on Produce Lane in Louisville, KY has very poor and unprofessional customer service! On more than one occasion an unidentified caller representing this company threatened to return parts when we were not able to align our schedules promptly enough for her. The women answering the phones never identify themselves, by name which gives them the ability to be as rude and disrespectful to paying customers as they wish. We have no choice about using Universal for the repair of our Frigidaire refrigerator due to the conditions of the warranty. Though the failure of the refrigerator is not Universals fault, their response to the problem is completely their fault. I have never experienced customer service that is this horrible. There are four or five nice but completely inadequate customer service ladies that you will reach (if you are able to get through). I have a Frigidaire refrigerator with an water and ice dispenser on the door. It begin leaking badly when you used the water dispenser because the hose had worked loose and was no longer long enough to fit in the socket.The repairman loosened some screws, tugged on it, and tightened them up again. The result is that it worked long enough for the warranty to expire and now its leaking again. I called them to schedule another repair, but was told they only cover their work for 30 days. We have been home owners for over 13 years and we have had 3 different service techs. Universal Appliance was the most reliable, professional and thorough. Ball park, they have been here at least 15 times and serviced my front loader, dish washer, ice maker, and oven. We have 9 in the home so my appliances are very important. THE WOREST IN THE BUSINESS. THEYMISDIAGNODED MY REFRIG PROBLEM, ORDERED PARTS NOT NEEDED, CAUSED WATER FLOOR DAMAGE THEY DO NOT WANT TO PAY. I AM GOING TO A LAWYER TODAY THE DAMAGE IS \$4000. I WILL NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMEND THEM TO ANY. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGERY.
I have been waiting for my appliance to be fixed now for 6 weeks. They are very friendly but they need some help. I have had four visits from them. Still not working.
