AHS let’s people take your money wo ever coming to your house
This company is deplorable! I was ditched to use them by my home warranty company, American Home Shield. They “supposedly” showed up at my condo for a refrigerator repair but they never called me, didn’t ring my unit and came 20 minutes early for the appointment and then just left. My dishwasher broke. I call American Home Shield and they sent Universal 1 Repair. A young man Nick showed up. He went to the basement to check the switch and told me there is nothing he can do. I need to call an electrician. I said how do you know there is something wrong with the switch??? You didn't test and use no tools. Then I found the real switch for my dishwasher. it was no.3 switch. and he continuted to try no. 1 switch. Sent by AHS, nick dress very nicely with pair of shining shoes. He is more like a salesperson than an appliance technician. And when he comes to the house, he brought NO tools except a notepad and a smartphone. He took couple pictures and then greeted us nicely and left in a min, but inside his heart he has no honesty. Universal 1 is an 'authorized' company for American Home Shield. Their response time is SLOW--took 2 1/2 weeks to get the part and get back to our house. Their customer service over the phone and in person was terrible. The repair guy did not hook up our washer before he left. Do not use this company.
I've had a few issues with various home appliance and my home warranty company has sent Universal 1 Repair. They were always punctual, seemed to know what they were doing and took the time to explain the issues to me. While my one appliance required them to come out on several occasions, I don't blame them, I blame the appliance.
