I broke both the ulna and radius bones on my right forearm after an awkward fall. Dr. Lohse did an excellent job: Surgery to fix the break with plates and screws, but no cast. I could start using the arm/hand in a few days and was able to start even driving in a week. I did not need any strong painkillers, just went along with ibuprofen. After four weeks, I have more than 95% of the motion back on my arm/hand/wrist. My recovery feels almost magical. Thank you, Dr. Lohse!
I had a consult with him and he was amazing. I had to switch insurance so couldn’t move forward but he really like listened and was compassionate to not only the medical issues but the affects they had on my life. And explained everything in a very understandable way without being condescending. I had to get his notes for the next surgeon and he perfectly captured the situation. I don’t vibe with my surgeon now and I’m so sad I can’t have the surgery with Dr. Lohse

Wonderful bedside manner. Spends time to understand patient issues and doesn’t assume he has all the answers right away. Performed surgery and thoroughly explained the pre/during/post procedures and expectations. A great doc!
