Dr Skibber is a highly skilled surgeon, and I do recommend him for LARS. He’s also an ego-maniacal misogynist who was more interested in his own skill than my fears when I saw him. Trying to assuage my concerns he once said “I have a 40 y/o pt with a colostomy who comes in with a new boyfriend every time I see her, you’ll be fine.” Oddly, his teenage ideals of success didn’t make me feel better. Dr. Skibber is the best. He also has the most wonderful bedside manner along with the hospital nurses.
