University - Don't think so... – Houston International University was a real real institution of higher learning and a great place for what it was, but was closed in 1990. This name knock-off has managed to get quite a few internet listings via a couple donations and some cheap phone book listings but in fact just takes money from hispanic immigrants in exchange for teaching them a few lines of english in an attempt to satisfy their immigration paperwork.
