A warning for families of intellectually disabled or non-verbal adults: my son was sent away untreated at first. Days later, sent back for admission. Took my aunt in monday 4/8/26 and had to leave without being seen because she could not physically take sitting anymore in the waiting room after 6 hours. Blood work came in active infection with wbc elevated along with other things elevated. Liver count was off as well. Complained of shortness of breath and sat for an additional hour. Severe dehydration and she sat there head pounding and she sat there. My Dad had to call me to get a nurse to help him. Up date... we had to go back to ER and my dad was in congestion heart failure, was left in the waiting room for four hours watching some kid detox and puke everywhere. What the heck has happened to our health care?
