Waited over 3 hours for a room….. got a text said the room was ready 2 hours after I got there…. Sat another hour. Got another text that said I was assigned a nurse waited another 40 mins…. These people told me about a 30 min wait it turned into over 4 hours…. What’s the definition of emergency room?

I know experiences vary, but I have never had a negative experience at the ER in Marshalltown, whether for myself, my kids, or accompanying friends. Thank you to a great team of nurses and staff, and to Dr. Jake for taking care of my daughter tonight.

The nurses are nice but they lie about how long things will take and don't show up when you press the call button for help

We took my 9 month niece to the ER last night because she was acting severely abnormal and something was wrong. They did some vitals, and then gave her some formula and said they'd discharge her in a bit. Again, something wasn't right, the baby was acting scarily strange, and she needed thoroughly checked over. So after 2 hrs of not being listened to, we took the baby to the hospital in Des Moines. Thank god we did, because she had somehow gotten amphetamines into her system. Shame on the staff that worked last night. I work... read more

En la tarde de febrero 21 tuve la necesidad de acudir ha emergencia ya q presentaba un fuerte dolor en mi espalda, la atención al llegar fue bien rápida, pero al llamarme la enfermera para pasarme al cuarto fue bien déspota, mal educada, al ella darse cuenta que yo no hablaba un inglés fluido como que se molesto más y llamo ha una interprete la cual no me escuchaba bien ya q la enfermera nombrada AMY, tenía el dispositivo lejos, ella le decía (la interprete) qué se acercara más para poderme escuchar lo cual la respuesta de l... read more
