Was up at the ER tonight. My friend passed away. The ER docs at Unity Point leave alot to be desired. They come off as smug . VERY cold. We had a nurse who was very nice. Didn't catch her name. She had dark hair and a little heavy set. Was there for us. Maybe the docs should take lessons from her. I was not impressed with this ER. Had my sister at Mercy ER a few months ago. Wonderful treatment there.
SAVED MY LIFE. XANAX (HEART RATE 5500 SHOULD BE 100) It was Congestive HEART failure.
We went there for an emergency, the staff and nurses were very friendly however their billing department seems very shady. They mailed us a statement that I never received, I tried calling them, but they put me on hold for 30 minutes. Then, someone finally answered the call but didn't let me finish my sentence! Huge mismanagement and very disappointing.
Quick resoonse , very friendly staff. I felt I was in good hands here.
Visited to ER to seek some medical attention for potential exposure to HIV. First, I was told by Dr. Luke Casey that I cannot be treated because I need to be reaching out to my PCP for this situation. I asked if there was any urgent meds I could be on for post exposure. The doctor says “well, you shouldn’t be putting yourself in that situation in the first place” and said I need to seek attention elsewhere. Terrible experience at the ER. Doctor made extremely judgmental statements, lacking empathy, and misconduct.
