I rented an appliance dolly. The service at check-in and checkout was quick and pleasant. However, when I got the dolly home, the locking mechanism for the strap simply didn’t work. I was able to make do by using some zip ties to secure the mechanism long enough to safely move the refrigerator. When I returned the dolly, I mentioned to the counter clerk that it was broken and should be repaired. To be fair, I've rented a few tools from this store and didn't have an issue. But one poor experience can't be justified by the other positive experiences. This time, I rented a small cultivator (a Stihl model). I get the two-minute instruction on starting it and take it home. I clocked in at 11 a.m. and the daily rate gives me until the same time tomorrow. I used the unit for a few hours, needing to stop every 15 minutes or so to clear the tines of weeds. United Rentals is a great place to rent equipment. The staff is very friendly and professional and the store has every type of equipment I could ever need.
It was my first visit to United Rental's, and it was absolutely amazing. Miranda was exceptionally wonderful, and I will be returning in the future when I find myself in need of another equipment rental!
Helpful staff, who lent me the use of ramps to load the 150 pound aerator into my SUV, now that I have gotten older following 2 back surgeries and am no longer able to lift it, and demonstrated the correct operation of all levers and knobs on the machine.
