You either don't rent out the equipment you are selling or tell the buyer if they purchase it they will have to wait for the rental contract to be completed. Personally I think the company is being greedy and wants the money both ways, because what happens if the rented equipment is damaged while out on rental, that could be dishonest to the buyer as well. They allow you to book equipment. While in the middle of your job they may come get said equipment and ‘trade’ it out for a similar but different piece of equipment. That may not work as effectively as the piece of equipment they already sent you. Then they do not refund you adequately if the equipment they sent as a trade doesn’t work for your work.
