Ah, United Legal Services – the paralegal firm that emails "10-day litigation notices" like it’s handing out flyers for a pizza deal. Imagine my surprise when I received a threatening legal notice via email (yes, email) over a Telus account I didn’t open, didn’t use, and frankly didn’t even recognize. Trying to make me pay $15k($13k in interest) for a Telus bill. Contacted Telus directly and told them I’ll pay the actual amount I owed to them and they said I can do that. Instead of going through the collection company that’s very scammy. This way I can open a dispute with transunion & provide the bill has been paid from Telus. No way I’ll deal with collections. Always better to deal with the company directly xx
