My 89 yo dad was overcharged by a local hospital. They were trying to make him pay $750 in addition to his $90 copay for topical lidocaine given during an ER visit saying it was a self administered drug. I contacted UHC several times to get them to talk to their network provider about the billing error. They told my dad he needed to pay it and be reimbursed by the prescription medication portion of his plan.
