Insurance may as well be an open wallet to those "nonprofit" hospitals. Prices are inflated far beyond market rate. Is it any wonder providers try to bluff you into paying with insurance-- they can charge more money that way! It is all a racket and the person getting shafted is the responsible citizen!!! Whoever is negotiating prices ... Do your job!
Honesty it is cheaper to be without insurance. They charge you more to see a doctor with this scam of an insurance then without any insurance. You find a provider see them. Then suddenly they aren't covered and never were. You pay just as much for medications as you do without any insurance. They barely cover 30% of testing and act like they still deserve your money. HUGE SCAM I looked into getting a policy with this business in the process of just trying to find out how much it would be, they said I signed something electronically giving them permission to charge me they've charged over $110 without my knowledge and are refusing to offer any help to try to fix it even though I didn't use their service at all because I didn't even know it existed
