Go to any Fred Meyer or Safeway and you'll see how this union is failing its members. Reps are more interested in drama than helping workers and will step back and let horrible things happen to employees if their grievance requires any actual effort, or if they just don't like the employee. How's "the best contract we've ever had" working out for the miserable overworked employees at every store? They'll also charge you dues for months after you leave the job. UFCW555 is a horrible company. Jeff White a person of authority in the union tried to get me ALONE, with no recording, in a HOTEL for a meeting. I specifically asked for someone else to attend because I felt uncomfortable being alone with him, he was adamant that he did not want anyone else there and that it would not be recorded. When i brought it up to management they blew it off and covered it up. They had me meet with him at a Starbucks, I felt unsafe going alone so I brought a friend to help with my anxiety.
