I was there to pick up the buttons and flyers for the union workers that are trying to get better staffing better hours. Their shifts are staggered in so many different ways. It's hard to make arrangements for babysitting or make appointments. They're not guaranteed 40 hours a week. They're usually on skeleton crews. If someone calls in sick. Bad experience and I noticed one of the Union employees placed a high rating with no review. The fees are required to keep your job but you have the option of not participating and receiving no benefits from the fees that are still required to be paid. In addition, they go out of their way to make signing up for an automatic deduction the most convenient way to pay so instead of getting a paycheck and making decisions about where that money goes, the employees simply never see the money the union claims as it's fee. This is the worst union I have ever joined. I quit my job at Fred Meyer 3 months ago and they still send me union dues. I got a bill saying if I did not pay i would be removed from the union. I did not pay and they sent me another bill. Also I was being treated unfairly by my manager during the school year and tried to go to them for help and received nothing. Why would I pay these dumb bills that I should not be receiving and why would I if they never helped me? This is the most useless, ignorant, and annoying union around.

For years I have been a member and only once has someone ever picked up the phone. Now it’s effing impossible. COVID is a lame excuse too cause you have phones on you when you are about. And you were just as bad years ago. WHAT AM I PAYING YOU $56 A MONTH FOR?!?! I have called and called and called. I’ve selected union rep of the day. I’ve selected ALL AND EVERY union representative I can choose from. NO ONE ANSWERED. You either put me to voicemail. You decline on the second ring or just not answer. I NEED HELP.

When I had to use their services, because I was being taken advantage of. This union hardly fought. Now that I am older I realize all the illegal things safeway did and how this union didn't do anything.
