Imagine if a loud cafeteria turned their fluorescent lights up, everyone barking on speakerphone, crammed people into McDonald’s style booths, and served inedible slop - that’s this United lounge

First the positives: 1. The food is great. Once upon a time they had only granola bars, snacks, coffee and booze. The food is now really good. Healthy stuff available. The coffee machines do almost anything you want. The booze is about the same. 2. Decoration, space, views of the airport are fine. The not so great: 1. It can get crowded really fast 2. For lounge recently redone all the broken chairs seem odd. It will s still 200% better then the airport areas below but could be better.

This club discriminates on basis of capacity a person has to pay fees for their credit cards they deny entry on the basis of who pays more than who pays. While they deny entry for one person with reasoing that they are at full capacity and the very second lets a group of 5 go inside.

I’m sorry but 90% of what I am going to a lounge for is the included food and drinks. They have a great selection of wine available if you want to pay $15 a glass for it. Otherwise it’s one house red and white included. Every time I fly United lately I get more and more put off by the experience. Everything that was once basic and included is now an upgrade and everything that was an upgrade is now in an echelon of expensive reserved for those who barely cannot afford to fly private. It’s a joke. Shame on you United.
